What to look out for if you "smell a rat"...
Rat droppings are sausage shaped approx. 1 -2 cm long. Mouse droppings
are thinner, spindle shaped approx. 5mm long. You will notice smears or grease marks from the rodents body as they repeatedly brush against objects or walls.
Damage to stock or fabric of premises and nesting material such as shredded insulation, cardboard, paper, plastics etc.
Potential risk
Rodents are known to spread infections such as Salmonella, Hantavirus and Weil's disease. Contamination of foodstuffs and work surfaces can be transmitted through wet fur soaked in urine.
